- Madhu Jayanti has successfully acquired the 146 year old Balmer Lawrie Tea company's manufacturing assets. In an all cash deal, Madhu Jayanti will take over all the production and manufacturing assets effective immediately.

JAYTEA & HARRIS TEA Acquires Keith Spicer Ltd in the UK.

Harris Tea, a division of Harris Freeman along with Jay Tea, a division of Madhu Jayanti, announces that it has completed the acquisition of Keith Spicer Ltd in Dorset, UK.
Keith Spicer has been supplying teas to the UK market since 1934.
Mr. Gilbert Zaris, Vice Chairman of Harris Freeman said, "We are pleased to welcome Keith Spicer to the Harris family. This further strengthens our position as a provider of Own Label teas. Through this acquisition we have gained a complementary business while giving us a stronger foothold in Europe. This strategic investment will help us with further potential acquisitions in that region."

At Madhu Jayanti International Limited we are constantly on the look out for new and untapped markets around the globe to establish our front line Gold Bond and Victoria tea bag brands. Recently, starting from March of this year, we under took an extensive campaign to introduce and spread awareness of our brands in West Africa. So far, we have earmarked introduction of our tea bags in Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Mali, Benin and Niger. The initial response in these new markets has been positive and we are confident that in the near future, our brands will have a tangible presence in all the 27 West African countries
